Memorial Paver

Purchase

Ahese Memorial Pavers will be installed in the Footbridge Plaza/Park Area, in the shadow of the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge. Newly purchased pavers will be installed along side the first sold in 2002 as part of the Centennial Celebration of our Footbridge as well as many sold since the recent closure. The profit generated from these sales provided part of the $50,000 Commercial Club raised to help fund replacement of the decking on our Footbridge.

The first batch were installed in 2002 and Commercial Club has continued to host the sale of new pavers today with blanks donated by Phenix Marble. These new pavers  (see photo) are much lighter than the mahogany granite pavers we originally sold. This new material marks an entirely new fundraising effort and the new life of The Eiffel Tower of Springfield slated to open later this summer..

All profits from the sale of pavers are deposited in the Jefferson Avenue Footbridge Fund at Community Foundation of the Ozarks. These tax deductible donations will be used for long term maintenance of this spectacular engineering and architectural structure and Springfield's largest public art sculpture.
